1. 在收到移民官的面试通知后，提前做出一些准备，将一些涉及要用到的材料打印出来，方便需要用到时提供给签证官查阅，另外记得带上通知信与你的身份证件。

　　2. 面试前一晚好好休息，保持良好的睡眠，将精神状态调整到最佳，面试前补充饮食，科学证明空腹会使人思维愚钝。

　　3. 面试时职业装并不是必须的，但是着装要得体整洁，男士请擦亮皮鞋、夹克、皮包等，女士可化淡装，香水味不宜过浓，配饰要简洁。潇洒漂亮的外形可以使人产生愉悦感。

　　4. 与移民官交谈时要正视移民官的眼睛，忌目光游离不定，其次不要出现紧张的迹象，如坐姿僵直，手指紧握等。但也不宜过于放松，姿态轻挑。

　　5. 与移民官交谈时要仔细听清移民官的每一个问题，并针对性的进行回答，要有保持清晰、简洁的回答与真诚的态度，不宜长篇大论，不要傲慢地坚持认为自己有超人的能力，也不要吹嘘自己在进入新西兰后，将来一定能大展宏图，建立丰功伟业。

　　6. 如果遇到非常棘手的问题，可以稍加思考，不用急于回答；对于被误解的回答要及时澄清，但是要注意礼貌。当表达有困难时，也尽量不要出现任何中文回答(虽然中国的KIWI CO可能略懂中文)。

　　关于为什么要移居新西兰时，可以往有利于职业发展，向往不同文化，换一种生活方式上靠拢，注意不要提及新西兰有良好的福利保障制度，更不要向移民官抱怨你现在的生活太累，也不要说出“不喜欢中国，在中国太痛苦”之类的话。

　　关于在新西兰的就业能力以及为什么认为自己有能力定居新西兰的问题，主要围绕在你已有的受教育经历、工作经历、以及求职能力与入境后的计划等方面。

　　通常移民官非常在意你过去的工作经历，特别是在新西兰或中国海外的工作经历，主要涉及的问题如是哪个国家哪一家公司，什么职位，每天的工作内容，是否满意等，提及过去的工作经历以及离职原因时不要表述“主观性”的观点，比如在这家管理混乱，根本没有前途等等。其次是你过去的工作是如何得到的，你都有哪些求职的经历，求职是否失败过等等，回答上应该突出自己独立求职的能力。你对新西兰的就业环境是否了解？都有哪些了解？你将来将会通过哪些方式求职？为什么你认为自己一定可以找到skill工作？如果找不到怎么办？回答这些问题，你需要对新西兰的就业环境提前做出了解，比如说你如何确定自己能找到工作时，你不要说一些虚无缥缈的计划，不要回答得过于抽象，比如说通过报纸、网络、机构求职时，要能准确说出名称。去求职网站求职时，要能准确地说出新西兰当地知名求职网站的名称或网址，比如treademe或seek，其次求职寻求第三方帮助时，要能准确说出新西兰的官方机构名字Work and Income，报纸为The New Zealand Herald。

　　为了尽可能地避免WTR，你应该告诉移民官，你已经做了详细的招聘市场调查，并告之你的调查结果，并且告知你完全符合新西兰雇主的招聘要求。当问到你的行业就业方向上时，你最好已经了解了新西兰与你专业相关的行业的某些公司或机构名称，并且能准确的说出名字，比如你有意去AAA、BBB、CCC这几家公司应聘。你也可以告诉移民官你在新西兰有非常可靠的亲戚或朋友可以协助你寻找到工作，并且提供朋友的背景情况。

　　你对新西兰labour市场的了解程度，将对你的评估产生重要影响，当移民官问你如果找不到工作怎么办时，你可以回答往找相关职位的工作上靠拢，并举例说出具体相关职位名称，并且告之自己的详细调查结果，同时认为就业非常容易(要拿出实质证据)，不要提及换一份完全与自己专业毫不不相关的职位(如果你本专业都找不到相关工作，换专业更不具备条件，更何况移民局就是冲你的学历与资历背景才向你发出移民邀请，不要中计)，无论如何也要突出自实其力的人生态度。

　　除求职以外，移民官还要大量问到关于新西兰教育、生活费用、住房情况等，比如：你是否知道在新西兰生活一周要花费多少钱？登陆后你住在哪里？新西兰的房租是多少？生病了怎么办？登陆后家人如何安排？你回答得越详细，移民官就会进一步挖掘得更深，同时进一步说明你对新西兰的了解非常细致且有深度。如果你的回答了出现了一连串的“不知道，可能，我猜，我估计，不清楚”，或者你只是一般性的浅层了解，移民官就会直接进入下一个问题，显然，你的回答是不能让移民官满意的。

　　最后一个重点是，回答时不要撒谎，移民官非常善长就一个可疑问题步步紧逼，连串发问。

  • If the applicant has give you a position as example can you tell me the qualificatio and/or work experience requirements for that position? do you meet the requirements? if there is a gap between your qualification/work experience and the requirements of the job, are there any other elements in your circumstance that could convince the employer to offer the job to you?
  • As you may be aware we are experiencing recession in many industries. Is your industry affected by the recession? are you aware of any changes in the labour market demand? how does it affect you ability to readily obtain skilled employment?
  • If you were not successful in finding skilled employment, what would you do?
