We are currently looking for fulltime fitter/welders with welding and fabrication experience in manufacturing Trailers & Truck Bodies.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• As a Fitter/Welder you will be expected to lay out, fit, and fabricate metal components to assemble structural forms, using knowledge of welding techniques and engineering requirements according to specifications/drawings given to you.

• Fabricate new builds and conduct service & repair of road transport equipment.

• You will be required to weld in various positions including flat, vertical up & overhead position.

• You should have extensive knowledge of workshop tools and machinery with an excellent attention to detail with quality output

• Have an excellent attention to detail & maintain quality in accordance with Engineers certification sign off

• Have a strong health and safety focus

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum of five years’ experience as fitter welder fabricating equipment for the heavy transport setting.

• Trade qualifications would be preferred.

• Current welding tickets in various positions including flat, vertical up & overhead position

• Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with welding and fitting.

• Heavy welding (essential)

• Class 1 clean driver licence.

• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

• Communication:  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Must be willing to complete pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing and willing to consent to an ACC injury history & M.O.J request.

Remuneration & Benefits:

• A competitive hourly rate

• Great working hours 7.30 - 4 pm Monday to Friday

• Ordinary hourly rate will range from $30.00 - $39.00+ based on experience.
